The Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) Scholarships (International) are designed to assist international students pursuing a research higher degree at Flinders University.
International students applying for the Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship (AGRTPS) will automatically be considered for the FIPRS.

Scholarship details:
The scholarship covers international student tuition fees, along with a substantial annual living allowance of $33,000 (2023 rate, tax-exempt), Overseas Health Care cover, and an establishment allowance of up to $1,485 to aid with relocation costs and airfares.
It is tenable for up to three years for a Research Doctorate and up to two years for a Research Master’s degree.

Who can Apply?
- Must be a citizen of any overseas country except New Zealand, and not hold Australian citizenship, Australian permanent resident status, or New Zealand citizenship.
- Must intend to begin full-time study for a higher degree by research in Australia for the first time in the year for which the award is offered. Some exceptions may apply for students who commenced their higher degree by research in the previous year due to application timing or early termination of enrollment.
- Must intend to enroll in an area of research concentration where the University has particular strength and has concentrated its resources.
- Must meet all entry requirements for a higher degree through research, including English proficiency levels as per the university’s requirements.

Application process:
To apply for a FIPRS, you must first apply for admission to a Research higher degree (PhD or Master of Arts by research), followed by an application for the International HDR Scholarship group. Upon completion of your admissions application, you will gain access to the student system to lodge your scholarship application. The application deadline is 4 August 2023, 5 pm Adelaide, Australia time.
