- Must be 40 years old or younger: Applicants must not be older than 40 years.
- Must have a master’s degree (with transcripts in English or Bahasa).
- Must obtain a recommendation letter from a potential research supervisor at a partner university.
- Must submit a statement of purpose detailing research interests and academic plans.
