The Ban Ki-moon Global Citizen Scholarship Program empowers young African citizens who are passionate about taking action for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UN has a set of goals which it intends to achieve by 2030. This is called SDG and they are situated to tackle poverty, hunger, climate change, inequality and so on.
The Ban Ki-moon Global Citizen Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship that provides mentorship and financial support for selected candidates to implement localized SDG Micro-Projects in their communities.

Eligibility Criteria
To be regarded eligible for the Ban Ki-moon Global Citizen Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be African youth, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
- Hold citizenship from Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia, or Kenya.- Be between 20-35 years old(not older than 35).
- Have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree.- Demonstrate strong dedication to SDGs and global citizenship ideals.
- Have a minimum English proficiency level of B2 (European Standards).
