    IIE- Scholar Rescue Fund Fellowship was established in 2002, aiming to protect scholars and promote academic freedom.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify for the IIE-SRF Fellowship, applicants must:

    • Be professors, senior researchers, or public intellectuals from any country.
    • Have a Ph.D. or highest degree in their field OR extensive teaching/research experience.
    • Be facing or have recently fled from immediate, severe, and targeted threats to their lives and/or careers.
    • Demonstrate academic excellence and the ability to contribute to their field.

    Application Procedures

    Step 1: Prepare the Required Documents( All required documents should be provided)Applicants or third parties submitting on their behalf must provide:

    • Application Form
    • Academic Statement/overview – Detailed overview of academic and professional experience.
    • Current CV or Resume
    • Personal Statement – Explanation on the need for IIE-SRF support.
    • Two Academic/Professional Letters of Reference– Must address research, publications, teaching, or academic contributions.
    • Two Personal Letters of Reference – Must confirm threats faced and academic background.
    • Ph.D. or Highest Degree Certificate
    • Samples of Recent Research Publications
    • Letter from a Potential Host Institution (Not required but preferred).

    Step 2: Submit the Application

    • Applications should be sent via email (preferred), fax, or post.
