The IIE- Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF) provides support for professors, senior researchers, and public intellectuals facing immediate threats to their lives and careers. Most professors might be into research which has posed threat to their lives, this Scholarship was established to aid professors and researchers to complete or conduct their research in safe place.
IIE- Scholar Rescue Fund Fellowship was established in 2002, aiming to protect scholars and promote academic freedom.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the IIE-SRF Fellowship, applicants must:
- Be professors, senior researchers, or public intellectuals from any country.
- Have a Ph.D. or highest degree in their field OR extensive teaching/research experience.
- Be facing or have recently fled from immediate, severe, and targeted threats to their lives and/or careers.
- Demonstrate academic excellence and the ability to contribute to their field.

- Academic Statement/overview – Detailed overview of academic and professional experience.
- Current CV or Resume
- Personal Statement – Explanation on the need for IIE-SRF support.
- Two Academic/Professional Letters of Reference– Must address research, publications, teaching, or academic contributions.
- Two Personal Letters of Reference – Must confirm threats faced and academic background.
- Ph.D. or Highest Degree Certificate
- Samples of Recent Research Publications
- Letter from a Potential Host Institution (Not required but preferred).
