Scholarship Overview
David Sainsbury Scholarships in Global Plant Health are divided into two categories: Full MSc Scholarship and 50% Fee Scholarship.
1. David Sainsbury’s Full MSc Scholarship Each full scholarship pays the entire tuition charge (£35,450 international fee for 2025-26).
- Maintenance grant (precise amount to be set in 2025-26; in 2024-23, it was £19,237).
- An extra £4,000 for travel expenses (based on approved economy class travel receipts).
2. David Sainsbury’s 50% Fee Scholarship: Each 50% fee scholarship pays up to 50% of the total tuition charge (50% of either £17,975 UK or £35,450 international fees for 2025-26), less any other prizes or scholarships that cover more than 50% of the fee.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for a full scholarship, you must complete the following requirements:
- You have been offered a seat on the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health.
- You are a national or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory, as defined by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, edition 2024-25, for the academic year 2025-26.
For the 50% fee scholarship, you must meet these criteria:
- You must have received an offer of a place on the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health.
- You are not a national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory as defined by the DAC list, version 2024-25 for entry in 2025-26 academic year.
Application Procedures
Automatic Acceptance: Applicants,Provided you meet the eligibility criteria, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship on a competitive basis. No separate application is required. You will be evaluated for the scholarship based on the same criteria used to evaluate your application to enroll in the course.
