    Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship is in collaboration between the Mo Ibrahim Foundation and offers candidates at the early-to-mid-stage of their career the opportunity to spend ten months at Chatham House, UK.

    Scholarship Overview

    Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship offers A £23,650 stipend will be given to chosen fellows to cover living expenses in London, such as housing, utilities, food, transportation, and other essentials.

    Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship scholarship is administered by Chatham House and the Mo Ibrahim Foundation.

    Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship, The Mo Ibrahim charity (MIF) is an African charity that was founded in 2006 with the sole goal of highlighting how crucial leadership and governance are in Africa.

    According to Mo Ibrahim Charity, any real and collective change in the standard of living for African citizens must start with good administration and leadership.

    In addition to participating in the Institute’s core activities, fellows expand their professional networks in the field of international affairs and hone their leadership abilities.

    A stipend of £23,650 will be given to chosen fellows to cover living expenses in London, such as housing, utilities, food, transportation, and other essentials.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Criteria for the Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship,You must fulfill the following criteria in order to be eligible for the fellowship:

    • Citizens of any African nation are eligible to apply for the fellowship.
    • Candidates with dual nationality, including those from any African nation, may also apply.
    • Candidates must possess research experience and a finished bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
    • The ideal candidate should be in their early to mid-career stage and work in academia, a non-profit organization, business, government agencies, civil society, or the media.
    • All candidates should be interested in and knowledgeable about international affairs, their field of study, and the goals and activities of Chatham House.
    • A fellowship cannot be pursued concurrently with employment or education because fellows are expected to work full-time toward their fellowship.

    Application Procedures

    Interested and qualified candidates should adhere to the following steps in order to apply for the Chatam House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship:

    After your application has been carefully reviewed, send it with the following relevant documents:

    • The candidate’s resume or CV
    • The two referees’ names

    Benefits of Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship

    Monthly Stipends:The fellow’s £2,365 monthly stipend will cover all of the costs of living in London, including housing, utilities, food, transportation, and other essentials.

    The Academy pays for appropriate expenses associated with:

    • relocation-related expenses, such as visas, additional cases or boxes, three nights of lodging, flights, trains, and other modes of transportation to and from the UK.
    • The UK’s immigration payment.
    • Access to the UK National Health Service: Health services are made possible by the Healthcare Surcharge. Note: you might have to pay for prescription medications as well as dental and optical care.
    • The expenses associated with research, outreach, and dissemination, such as fieldwork, travel, conferences, publications, roundtables, and events.

    After completing their fellowship successfully, alumni have access to:

    the faculty and alumni of the Academy; and Membership in Chatham House for five years.
