University of Ottawa undergraduate scholarship is for qualified candidates that had performed creditably well in their previous academic journey and must be citizens of the following countries; African Countries, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Korea, India or Bangladesh studying in English.
The scholarship is renewable and it is offered to international students who are citizens of African countries, that were admitted in the Fall 2024 or later with an admission average of 80% or higher, that study in English, and must be enrolled in one of the specified undergraduate programs in the faculties of Engineering, Science, or Social Sciences.

- Be enrolled full-time:Applicant must enroll for full-time courses.
- For the Entrance scholarship: have an admission average of 89.99% or lower once converted in University of Ottawa grading scale.
- For the Excellence scholarship: have an admission average of a minimum of 90% once converted in our Immersion option.
- Be newly admitted in one of the following undergraduate programs offered in English or with the French Immersion option: Engineering: Civil Engineering; Chemical Engineering. Social sciences: Sociology; Anthropology; International Development and Globalization; Conflict Studies; Public Administration. Sciences: All programs except the Honours Bachelor’s Science in Biochemistry / Bachelors Science in Chemical Engineering, Honours Bachelor’s in Physics/bachelors in Electrical Engineering, and Honours Bachelor’s in Ophthalmic Medical Technology.

Benefits of University of Ottawa Undergraduate Scholarships 2025
The entrance and excellence scholarship will provide prospective students with a four-year scholarship worth $100,000 to cover the partial cost of their university tuition.
For excellence scholarships, the financial contribution to their education reduces their tuition fees by $17,500 to $25,000 while the entrance scholarship is by $12,000 to $20,000 annually, depending on the program.All amounts are in Canadian dollars. These scholarships may be renewed for up to 12 terms.
