The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) is a newly introduced scholarship program, replacing the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS), providing scholarships for numerous master’s programs at Swedish universities in the Autumn of 2024.
The SISGP is designed to nurture future global leaders who will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and foster positive and sustainable development in their home countries and regions.

Scholarship coverage/inclusions/duration:
The scholarship encompasses full tuition fees, a monthly living stipend of SEK 12,000, insurance coverage, and a one-time travel grant of SEK 10,000-15,000 (exclusive to scholarship recipients residing outside of Sweden).
This scholarship is intended for full-time one-year or two-year master’s programs and is exclusively awarded for programs commencing in the autumn semester. There are no additional subsidies for family members, and it does not cover the application fee to University Admissions.
Eligibility:
To qualify for SISGP:
You need to be a citizen of a country eligible for SI scholarships (refer to the list above). However, you are not required to reside in the country at the time of application.
The master’s programs you apply for must be eligible for SI scholarships. The university gives priority to programs within specific subject areas, contingent upon your country of citizenship.
You must have demonstrated work experience (certain conditions apply to specific regions). Additionally, you should have shown leadership experience from your current or previous employer, or from involvement in civil society activities.
You should be liable to pay tuition fees at Swedish universities, have followed the steps outlined by University Admissions, paid the application fee on time, and have been admitted (or conditionally admitted) to one of the eligible master’s programs by March 21, 2024.

Application instructions:
Admissions are presently closed. The scholarship application portal will open from February 12 to February 28, 2024, on the official website.
To begin, apply for a master’s program at universityadmissions.se by January 15, 2024. Once you’ve submitted your application for master’s program(s) at universityadmissions.se, you will receive a personal application number comprising eight digits. Keep this number safe as you will need it when applying for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals.
After completing your master’s program application, you can proceed to apply for an SI scholarship. You must digitally submit the required documents through the online application portal from February 12 at 00:01 until February 28, 2024 at 14:59 CET.
