Deakin University HDR Scholarships are based on research and there are 2 scholarships categories:
- Research Training Program Scholarship (RTP) :Funded by the Australian Government.
- Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (DUPR): Funded by Deakin University. Despite being available for domestic students, the scholarships are also available for International students pursuing doctoral (PhD) or research master’s degrees. It is specifically for Top-ranked students.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for Deakin University HDR Scholarships , Applicants must:
- Be enrolled or applying for a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at Deakin University.
- Have completed at least four years of tertiary education.
- Have achieved a minimum of 80% or equivalent in the research component of their previous studies Excellent Result).
- Will not be receiving another scholarship that offsets HDR fees from the Commonwealth.
- Not have an additional income exceeding 75% of the RTP/DUPR stipend rate (unless unrelated to research living costs).
- Meet Deakin’s Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) admission requirements.
Application Procedures
For aspiring students of Deakin University HDR, they are to apply using following steps:
- Identify a research topic and find a supervisor at Deakin.
- Prepare necessary documents: Applicants are expected to submit essential documents like Academic transcripts, Research proposal, references and so on.
- Submit a complete HDR scholarship application via Deakin’s online portal before the deadline:For Currently Admitted HDR Students- Submit the Currently Enrolled HDR Student Scholarship Application Form through the Researcher Development Academy.
