Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship, candidates need to fulfill these prerequisites:
- Professional Status: Professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctoral candidates, or doctoral students at overseas universities.
- Research fellows or those at an equivalent level in academic institutions abroad.
- Language Skills: Applicants must be Proficient in English.
- Research Commitment: Submit research findings in writing (minimum of 20 pages) within three months of project completion.
- Attend MOFA-organized academic seminars and pertinent events while visiting Taiwan.
- Non-Duplication Rule: Recipients are not permitted to work part-time jobs or accept scholarships from other Taiwan-based organizations during the fellowship period without MOFA’s approval.

- Print and Submit: Print your filled-out application, then send it by mail to the Taiwanese Embassy or Representative Office in your nation.
- Flexible Implementation: Request permission for a grant deferral through your local R.O.C. (Taiwan) Embassy or Representative Office if unanticipated circumstances cause your trip to be delayed. It is necessary to finish the research within the same year.
