Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Nishimura Foundation International Scholarship 2025, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Must be an Indonesian citizen and a graduate of one of the following institutions: Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Indonesia, or Universitas Airlangga.
- Must be applying for or currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral program at one of the listed Japanese universities.
- Applicants studying online from Indonesia (except residents of Osaka) are not eligible.
- Must demonstrate financial need and be unable to independently finance living expenses in Japan.
- Must possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 for undergraduate studies and 3.5 for master’s programs.
- Should either be proficient in Japanese or demonstrate a strong motivation to learn the language before their departure.
- Must show a deep interest in Japanese culture and society and express a desire to contribute to Indonesia-Japan relations.
