    Veterans Bursary Program

Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

The Veterans Bursary Program 2025, Canada, stands as a symbol of national gratitude and social responsibility, designed to support veterans and their families in pursuit of higher education. Established in response to a legal mandate by the Federal Court of Canada (File Number T-463-07), the bursary has become a lifeline for those who have served the country. Administered by Universities Canada in partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada and two leading law firms McInnes Cooper and Gowling WLG the program translates legal settlement into real educational opportunities.

    Scholarship Overview

Veterans Bursary Program 2025, Canada, is a product of a $10 million settlement issued by the Federal Court following the Manuge v. Her Majesty The Queen case in 2013. The fund was set up to compensate veterans who were affected by deductions from their long-term disability benefits. Expanded in 2021 and 2022 to accommodate more class members through the Toth v. Her Majesty The Queen case, the bursary now covers a broader range of veterans and their families, offering financial assistance to access tertiary education across Canada. Administered under strict compliance with privacy and legal standards, the program reflects a balance between justice and opportunity.
