Scholarship Overview
The Silk Road Scholarship Program is designed for graduate students who want to pursue important technical majors like Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Control Science and Engineering, Traffic and Transportation Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
The Silk Road Scholarship Program is available to applicants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Yemen, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Morocco, and Zambia, and it covers both Chinese and English-taught programs.
Eligibility Criteria
Inorder to be considered eligible, Applicants must meet these:
- Applicants must be outstanding non-Chinese graduates with strong academic backgrounds, good health, and no criminal record.
- Age requirements: below 35 years for master’s applicants and below 40 years for doctoral applicants.
- Candidates must not be recipients of any other institutional or governmental funding (a declaration is required).
- Language proficiency:Chinese-taught applicants must score ≥260 in HSK level
- For a year of language instruction, candidates with scores in the 180–259 range are eligible.
- The minimum score for applicants who are taught English is 6.0 on the IELTS or 85 on the TOEFL.
- Native speakers and those with prior degrees taught in Chinese or English are exempt.
- Applicants must demonstrate innovative capabilities and potential for scientific research.
