Scholarship Overview
The TDR Postgraduate Scholarship is designed to equip scholars with the tools and knowledge required to tackle global health challenges in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Covering tuition, research expenses, travel, and living costs, this program focuses on enhancing research capacity in areas such as disease control, the impact of climate change on health, epidemics, and antimicrobial resistance.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be nationals and residents of English-speaking countries in the WHO African Region.
- Age: Applicants are to be 37 years old or younger.Any age that exceeds that is not accepted.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and meet the University of Ghana’s admission requirements.
- Demonstrate English proficiency: Applicants are expected to communicate fluently in English and have high scores in proficiency test.
- Be employed by an academic institution, research organization, not-for-profit, or Ministry of Health in an LMIC.
- Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
- Identify a local supervisor or mentor before starting the program.
