Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria in order to be considered for the Vienna International Postdoctoral Program:
- Educational Requirements: Possess a PhD in the life sciences or a related field, such as mathematics, physics, engineering, chemistry, or computer science.
- Possess at least one manuscript or first-author publication that has been posted on arXiv or bioRxiv.
- Correspondence with Science: The planned study must complement the work being done at VBC. Applicants must identify potential host groups and communicate with their preferred mentor(s) during project development.
- Mobility Requirement: Fulfill the Marie Curie transnational mobility criteria, meaning candidates must not have resided or worked in Austria for more than 12 months in the three years preceding the application deadline.
- Language Skills: Candidates need to be fluent in English.
