Scholarship Overview
The Ellison Scholars Undergraduate Programme is run by the Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) in collaboration with the University of Oxford. In addition to academic pursuits, this exceptional scholarship gives recipients the opportunity to work on high-impact EIT projects during summer internships. These initiatives stem from four global focus areas called “Humane Endeavours”: government innovation in the age of artificial intelligence, food security and sustainable agriculture, health and medical science, and climate change and clean energy. The competition for this opportunity will be fiercely competitive because only a small number of outstanding applicants will be selected.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Ellison Scholars Programme, applicants must:
- Meet the University of Oxford’s academic entry requirements for their chosen course.
- Hold or be on track to earn a high school diploma or equivalent recognized by Oxford.
- Achieve the minimum grade requirements for their desired course.
Fulfil Oxford’s English language requirements.In addition, candidates must demonstrate:
- Alignment with EIT’s vision by showing a clear understanding of one or more Humane Endeavours.
- Excellence in academics, evidenced by high grades and notable academic achievements.
- Innovation through creative thinking, problem-solving, or entrepreneurial accomplishments.

Application Procedures
Inorder to apply properly, Applicants should follow these steps correctly:
- Apply online via the Ellison Scholars website between 1 May and 31 July 2025.
- Shortlisted semi-finalists will be invited to apply separately to the University of Oxford by October 2025.
- Finalists will be selected based on Oxford admission offers and interviewed by the EIT Faculty.
- Scholars will be announced between March and April 2026 and onboarded ahead of their October 2026 start date.
